Terms of Service

The rules for using BatchDash: what you get, what it costs, and what happens when you leave.

The service

BatchDash is the system batch manufacturers run on: recipes, costs, production, stock, and the records that prove every batch. Your account gives you access to one or more organizations (workspaces), each holding its own ingredients, recipes, runs, orders and records. BatchDash is built and sold for professional use, by businesses and independent makers. You keep ownership of everything you enter; we store and process it only to run the service for you. The software, the BatchDash name and everything we built stay ours; your subscription is a right to use them while it lasts. Features marked as previews or betas can change or be withdrawn without notice.

Your account

Sign up with an address you control and keep your password to yourself. Actions taken under your session count as yours. Every organization has at least one owner. Owners control membership, billing and deletion, and those actions bind the organization.

Acceptable use

Use BatchDash lawfully and for what it is: running your own production. Do not probe or disrupt the service, overload it deliberately, scrape other tenants, share accounts, or resell access. We can suspend an account or an organization that breaks these rules or leaves invoices unpaid, after notice unless the situation cannot wait (an attack, a legal order).

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed as subscriptions, monthly or yearly, through our payment processor Stripe. Prices are shown before you subscribe. An upgrade applies immediately and invoices the prorated difference. A move to a cheaper plan or a shorter interval takes effect at the end of the paid period. Canceling stops the renewal: you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

Refunds

A period that has started is not refunded when you cancel; you keep the service until it ends instead. Deleting an organization is different: it ends the subscription immediately, and the remaining paid time is forfeited without a refund. The app asks you to confirm exactly that before it deletes anything. If a charge looks wrong, contact support and we will look at it.

Deleting an organization

An owner can delete an organization from its Manage page. The workspace closes for the whole team immediately, and its contents are permanently erased after a 30-day grace period. During that window, support can restore it on request. After the erasure we keep a minimal deletion record (the organization name, the owner address, and a billing reference) for as long as commercial law requires. Invoices themselves are retained by Stripe under the same rules.

Your data, your products

What you and your team enter stays yours, and what BatchDash computes from it (costs, yields, stock levels, compliance fields, AI suggestions) is a working tool: check a figure before you rely on it. None of it is legal, regulatory or professional advice. Your data leaves with you. The app exports what it holds, and support will hand you a machine-readable copy of your workspace on request, free of charge. Suggestions you send us about the product are ours to use, with our thanks. Your products remain your responsibility. BatchDash helps you keep the records a food or cosmetics maker needs, but compliance with the rules that apply to what you make and sell stays with you. If a third party brings a claim over content you stored or products you made, that claim is yours to handle; if one claims the BatchDash software itself infringes their rights, that one is ours.

Personal data

Running BatchDash means processing some personal data: your account, your team members, and whatever personal data sits in your workspace. For workspace content we act as a processor on your instructions, under the safeguards described in the privacy notice; a signed data processing agreement is available on request. We rely on a short list of sub-processors (hosting, payments, email delivery, and the provider behind the optional AI features), each bound to equivalent safeguards. Content sent to the AI features is used to answer your request and for nothing else; it is never used to train models.

Care and limits

We run BatchDash with care: encrypted backups, monitoring, and a small blast radius by design. Still, the service is provided as is, without a promise of uninterrupted availability, and self-serve plans carry no contractual uptime credits. An event outside our reasonable control (an upstream outage, a natural disaster, a state act) suspends our obligations while it lasts. To the maximum extent the law allows, we accept no liability for your use of the service, including indirect damage, lost profits, lost data or business interruption. Where the law does not permit that exclusion, our total liability for all claims combined is capped at what you paid for the current billing period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Do not use BatchDash as your only control for anything where a failure could hurt someone.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. When we do, we announce it in the app or by email, and the new terms take effect 15 days later; the date above always names the version in force. Using BatchDash after that date counts as accepting the new terms. If you do not accept them, cancel before they take effect: your current paid period finishes under the terms you signed up on.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, and any dispute that cannot be settled amicably goes to the competent courts of our registered office. We may transfer this agreement as part of a sale or restructuring of the business; your protections travel with it. Transferring yours needs our written agreement. Clauses that by nature outlive the contract (records, liability, governing law) survive its end. If one clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stand. These terms, with your plan and its price, are the whole agreement between us.
