Photos on recipes

A recipe can carry photos in two places, and both follow it onto the printed sheet. They are worth the minute they take: the person plating or jarring at 6 am matches what they make against a picture, not a memory.

The presentation photo

On the formula page, the Photo card holds the Presentation photo: the finished product. Click Add a photo and pick a JPEG, PNG or WebP under 8 MB. It appears next to the recipe title and on the recipe sheet, where it shows the line what done looks like.

Section photos

Each section of the method can carry its own Section photo: the dough after lamination, the sauce at the right reduction, the emulsion at trace. Add it from the section’s menu on the bench. Use them for the steps where “you’ll know it when you see it” is the real instruction.

Replace and Remove live in the same card, so updating a photo after a recipe change takes seconds.

On the printed sheet

The recipe sheet has a Photos toggle. Leave it on and the presentation and section photos print with the method; turn it off for a compact text-only sheet. The photo prints next to the section it belongs to, which is exactly where a new pair of hands needs it.

Copies and storage

Branching a version copies its photos, so each version keeps the pictures that match its own method. Photos count toward your plan’s photo storage; the plan cards on the billing page state each limit.
